In the presentation, which took place in the auditorium of the Cultural Center for Science and was broadcast on YouTube, watch here, the agency’s president, Fernando Pirano, highlighted: “Argentina’s development lacks actors, we are not about the world of work. can think and of production without cooperatives. For this reason we have to open the science, technology and innovation system to the actors who move our society from social and productive, they have to be part of the change we need We arrived at this announcement after a visit that included reviewing each and every rule of the agency, today we have the legal capacity to open the doors and support them. Regarding the technology and innovation work he said: “We want Let them be tools and not fetishes: knowledge is where problems are solved and cooperatives do it every day. We need technology at the service of solutions, including moving forward, and we’re going to do that with this shared effort between the agency, MINCEET and INAES.
To conclude, he said: “If there is a good idea in Argentina, it must be supported to the end so that it becomes a new process or product. Supporting cooperatives allows us to federalize our production model One program is not enough, we have to establish: recognize the people who push and change from every point of the country.”
For his part, the head of INAES, Alexandre Roig, said that “to date the world of science and technology and the world of cooperatives used to go on different paths and today they are meeting. And this is very important, because it is a is the beginning of the path. Expanding the possible requires a certain courage because it means touching certain structures, of prejudice, of inertia.”
Rog expressed that “being able to find oneself with a ministry and an agency that expands possibilities, relaxes and strengthens us. Because a great deal of our country’s reality is cooperative and reciprocal and that Science could clarify with the world and technology is fundamental”
“When you are in the state, in the government, what you have to do is redistribution of power. And the redistribution of power is the redistribution of rules, resources and knowledge, and these are the three things that we do in this program. And this will allow us to leapfrog in the economic, legal and technical fields, approaching technological updates that allow us to compete”, concluded the head of INAES.
In her turn, Under Secretary Cecilia Slimane explained: “In this management the Ministry took on a new impetus to the issues of social innovation and the popular economy. This is reflected in the National CTI Plan, where we addressed poverty as one of the first challenges for ourselves. Elimination and reduction of inequality and socio-environmental vulnerability. From there arise these new relationships, such as cooperatives, and with the tools from the state to promote technological modernization and innovation throughout the national sphere”.
During the meeting, Alejandro Primbas, FONTAR’s national director of the I+D+i agency, presented the details of the call together with Patricia Esper, the coordinator of the PROCODAS program. He then answered questions from the attendees.
