Election Commission Schenectady urges voters to show up on Election Day if they have any problems at the polling stations.
“Every year, several voters contact us after Election Day, when it’s too late to help them,” Election Commissioners Amy Heald and Darlene Harris said in a Saturday press release. “If you have any questions or concerns about voting, please call us at the Election Commission as soon as possible so we can help you. Every vote counts. “
The Election Commission telephone number is 518-377-2469.
The election commission said people who vote on Tuesday can find their polling station at https://voterlookup.elections.ny.gov. On election day, polling stations are open from 6:00 to 21:00. According to the report, those wishing to vote must arrive at their polling station before 21:00 to vote.
Absentee ballots can be:
- Returned in person to the Election Commission before 21:00 on election day.
- Transmitted in any Schenectady County polling station by 9:00 pm on Election Day.
- Posted no later than November 2, 2021
The election commission will begin publishing the results at 21:30. Results will be uploaded as soon as they become available, according to the release. Results can be found at www.schenectadycounty.com/boe.
Results will include both early voting and those submitted on election day.
