Mazatlán. With open hearts and generous hands, the San Francisco de Asis Parish Community Center in Mazatlán has joined forces with Plaza Acaya to launch a campaign filled with love and hope.
From June 1 to June 22 this year, you can contribute with your donation to help migrants who pass through the city find shelter with a place where they can eat, shower or dress Are.
Since 2004, this parish, located in the Salvador Allende neighborhood about 500 meters from the train tracks, has taken up this noble cause of giving love by example.
The friars participating in the community center seek to provide a little food, clothing, hygiene, medicine, psychological support, and even temporary shelter for these people.
Fray Marcos Guerrero García, in charge of said site, said that they would visit Plaza Acaya to request hygiene items, cleaning items, used or new clothing (mainly men’s), food, shoes, sheets, towels, and medicines. They went.
The community center takes in between 10 and 15 migrants per day, not to say that it also helps the homeless who occasionally visit. There are an average of 300 people per month who are benefitted with a plate of food, first class treatment, clothes, a bathroom, among other things.

Hostel
The community center also serves the Salvador Allende neighborhood and a small shelter located adjacent to the same parish. There they are provided with information on procedures for migrants in medical, psychological and other matters.
