With the recent introduction of the Tacoma, apart from serving for the next generation of the Hilux, it will also serve for another important vehicle, the SW4 SUV.
A new KDesing projection speculates what the next version of the SW4 could be like, taking parts from the new pick-up media presented for the US and Mexican markets.

The creation of the Kleber Silva suggests that the SW4’s “Tacoma look” may be presented with a wide, honeycomb grille flanked by thin, elongated air intakes. The headlights will continue to be LED with a reduction in size with respect to the pick-up and there will be another air intake below them. Another detail is in the bumper which presents a straight look and with a reduction in its size.
On the sides, you can see a third wide window, which makes the vehicle feel bigger. Moving to the rear, we get vertical lights in the form of a “C” and a more robust bumper. The trunk lid is straight compared to the Tacoma, but without losing any of its shape.
Like the medium truck, the possible new-generation SW4 will also feature the TNGA-F platform, which will allow for more technology and the inclusion of a new hybrid engine.
At the moment Toyota hasn’t given an overview of what the future of the SW4 might look like, nor should we forget that there is still time for the SUV to get its next generation. Nor should it be ruled out that the brand may revamp the vehicle after the launch of the new Hilux, estimated for 2025.
