The Ministry of Sustainability, Environment and Blue Economy was launched a new edition of the ‘Nature for all’ programme, an initiative whose goal is to improve the accessibility of people with disabilities in the natural spaces of Andalusia. A program committed to improving security and facilitating inclusive happiness and through this 30,420 people have passed participating in some of the 1,423 activities developed in this area since 2011.
Access to this free program requires participants to register through the website www.reservatuvisita.ecoturismoandaluz.com. Each of the activities is aimed at people and groups with different abilities and is often developed in public use facilities located in natural spaces: visitor centers, information points, ecomuseums and nature classrooms. In this way, ‘Nature for all’ continues to revitalize these areas while promoting the creation of green jobs that, in the end, will come to heal the population of the territory.
The booking platform has a specific filter to select activities based on the area in question and the capabilities of each group; so that the activity can be done for people with reduced mobility, intellectual or sensory disabilities, visual and auditory.
In various activities, which can be developed in a total of 28 natural spaces distributed throughout the eight Andalusian provinces, Any association or group of people with disabilities can participate, whether they are federated or not.
To offer each program of inclusive activities, the organizing companies used to accredit the ability of the monitors to offer everything from sign language to the qualifications needed to meet each capacity. The ratio used is one monitor for every fifteen visitors and if necessary the number of participants can be reduced depending on the characteristics of each group. Always, the General Directorate of Protected Natural Spaces insists, with the idea of offering the best service.
