The authorities have activated initiatives to solve the water shortage and reactivate their economy, it was reported.
The reports determined that, until last Friday, 134 thousand families received 1,988 tons of humanitarian aid, which together with other support initiatives amounted to a disbursement of more than 24 million bolivianos (more than three million dollars).
The Government has activated an immediate action plan called Water for life, Water for production, which consists of guaranteeing the liquid element for human consumption, animals and production.
For this, tank cars of different capacities are provided, wells are drilled and so-called shortcuts are used for artificial reservoirs.
The Ministry of Health, for its part, plans to distribute water purification tablets to ensure the quality of this resource for consumption.
That ministry indicated that the initiative has a budget of more than 127 million bolivianos (18 million dollars).
