The citizen was arrested with drugs wrapped in his body

Officials of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb) arrested this Sunday a citizen of the state of Zulia with 13 packages of drugs, probably marijuana, attached to his body.

The information was released by the operational strategic commander (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez, who indicated that the arrest was made during a patrol operation within the framework of Operation Catatumbo Lightning 2023.

“Within the framework of Operation #RelampagoDelCatatumbo2023, the members of #FANB, by checking-up and inspecting the vehicle at the “La Chinita” Citizen Service Point, located in the parish of José Senovio Urribarrí, town of Santa Rita in the state of Zulia, brought The arrest of the subject identified as Alfredo Vladimir Chirino Miquilena CIV-12.489.536, forty-eight (48) years old, who was carrying in a secret way, with one (01) belt attached to his body, thirteen (13) packages of Marijuana, and one (01) package of Cocaine. The aforementioned citizen was traveling in a unit of public transportation,” he wrote on the social network.

In relation to this, he reaffirmed the commitment of FANB and the National Government in their fight against drug trafficking and illegal trafficking of psychotropic substances.

“Venezuela is a democratic State of law and justice, where the illegal trade in psychotropic substances and narcotics is fought every day. Procedure through the order of the Public Ministry,” he emphasized.

Recall that this Saturday FANB officers seized a total of 13 packages of drugs belonging to the Armed Terrorist Drug Trafficking Groups of Colombia (Tancol), in the town of Castilletes, Zulia state.
