The Civil Guard investigated the discovery of a lifeless fetus at about 38 weeks of pregnancy weighing two and a half kilos inside a garbage container in Moceján (Toledo). The mother, who is of Spanish nationality, went to the doctor’s office in this town of about 5,000 inhabitants because she suffered from severe bleeding.
According to what she told the health professionals who took care of her, it was a menstrual problem. However, they confirmed that she suffered an abortion, something the woman denied, and assured that she was not pregnant. Finally, he was referred to the University Hospital of Toledo, located about 15 kilometers from Mocejn, because he lost a lot of blood. The doctors who treated her alerted the emergency service to report the presence of a woman with symptoms suffering from abortion.
When the security forces were informed of these events and the disappearance of the child or fetus, agents of the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard of Illescas (Toledo) accompanied the woman to her home. A few minutes later, agents found the lifeless fetus inside a container near the family’s home and hidden in a plastic bag. According to investigation sources, the woman was not detained but was being investigated pending the results of the autopsy, which will prove the cause of the fetusdeath.
The woman named Nuria insisted on Wednesday that she was never pregnant and that she herself threw a bag full of blood and clots but no navel into a garbage container near her home. Her neighbors, for their part, admitted that the mother had been suffering from drug addiction for a long time.
