The countrymen came out of the bad streak by defeating the brave 7-3

WASHINGTON ( Associated Press) — Juan Soto and Victor Robles hit home as the Washington Nationals beat the Atlanta Braves 7-3 on Sunday to end a nine-game losing streak.

Soto, Washington’s only All-Star and who could be traded at the end of the month, hit a single home run in the eighth inning and extended his on-base streak to a career-best 26 games. At 31-63, he has the worst record in the Majors for an All-Star break.

Washington has not scored five runs in a game since their 8-7 loss to Pittsburgh on June 29 this fall, starting a 1-15 loss to the Nationals going into Sunday’s game.

The Nationals did most of the damage in the second innings against starter Spencer Strider (4-3). Venezuela’s Ehire Adrienza added a line of two runs from the center. Robles followed up with his second homer of the season, a fly ball that barely landed in the visiting team’s bullpen.

Adrienza added an RBI on the groundout in the fourth against Strider, who conceded five runs in four innings. Machel Franco produced with the single and made it 6–3.

For the Braves, Venezuela’s William Contreras 4-0, Orlando Arcia 4-0 and Ronald Acua Jr. 4-0.
