In 2013, Galicia experienced one of the worst events in its dark history: the death of the little girl Asunta at the hands of her adoptive parents in Santiago de Compostela. After the first days of conflicting versions and many clues, the parents of the minor were arrested for ending his life, and now he continues. was imprisoned in Teixeiro (A Coruña), and he committed suicide.
Asunta appears dead in Santiago with a high presence of sedatives in the blood, and Alfonso Basterra and Rosario Porto were accused of drugging and suffocating the young woman.

Now Netflix wants to transfer this sad story to the big screen, and this Monday it revealed the first images of its filming. ‘Asunta case’ was filmed in Galicia by Bamboo Productions (flour, The Case of Alcásser), which was recorded in 2017 as a documentary miniseries about the so-called ‘Operación Nenúfar’ where the girl’s parents were investigated.
Candela Peña and Tristán Ulloa are the protagonists who play the parents, and in the first touches of the series, a great resemblance to the real protagonists of the case can be noticed.
In the photos distributed by Netflix, you can also see a woman who plays Asunta with great success in resembling the deceased, in addition to other famous actors such as Javier Gutierrez. As it is known, the scenes from the murder trial, the investigation at Teo’s home, where the events took place, and other moments at the police station during the investigation were recorded.
