The review of Vicencio Scarano Spisso is not admitted, while a network case goes to the electoral room.
The political-administrative chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) lifted the disqualification of Daniel Ceballos and Rosa Brandonisio de Scarano, who requested a review of their actions.
In the first case, they accepted the appeal of Ceballos, who was disqualified in April 2015 and declared admissible, thus lifting the ban on running for public-elected positions.
The former mayor complied with the “parameters and requirements,” according to the ruling.
Former Mayor of San Diego
A few minutes later, they issued the sentence in the case of Rosa Brandonisio de Scarano, who was disqualified for 15 years. He became the mayor of the municipality of San Diego in the state of Carabobo.
They declared to accept “the request for precautionary protection presented within the framework of the mechanism established by the Barbados Agreement dated October 17, 2023, following the parameters and requirements indicated therein.”
To the electoral room
In the case of Wilfredo Segundo Rojas Vargas and Carlos Alberto Piñero González, who are members of the Redes party and filed an appeal for protection, the political-administrative chamber declared itself incompetent to resolve the case and referred it to the electoral chamber.
They are the main members and general secretary of that group, and they requested to review it after it was vetoed by the National Electoral Council.
Another case reviewed is the case of Vicencio Scarano Spisso, who was not admitted to the court, so he remained disqualified for 15 years.
His file was sent to the Constitutional Chamber of the TSJ.
