Even though 20th Century Fox Studios is now under the Disney umbrella, the company offers a number of very outstanding genre products that are definitely worth your time. From Barbarian and Hellraiser to Predator: The Dam and the new “No One Will Save You”, one of the unknown works of this year 2023, which launches September 22 on Disney+ and combines elements of Stephen King’s own Directed by Brian Duffield, screenwriter of horror films like The Babysitter and fantastical adventures like Of Love and Monsters. On this occasion, he not only signs the script but also goes behind the scenes to tell a minimalist heart attack story:
No One Will Save You blends sci-fi with classic horror in a very depressingly minimalist tone: an alien home invasion
Plain and simple, the story tells the nightmarish adventure of a “banished, terrified couch potato who must battle an alien who has found a way into his home.” Let’s assume that the movie is the last segment of “Alien: The Eighth Passenger” to be seen on a large scale, in which Kaitlyn Dever has to face a creature that resembles Ridley Scott’s xenomorphs. “One of the things I’m really excited about is that the trailer hides two of the big catches or twists in the film that audiences will notice very quickly when they see them. The other fun thing about the trailer is that “it reveals a lot of alien things,” the director said in an interview for Bloody Disgusting.
“The trailer hides two of the film’s big hooks or twists.”
“To be blunt, there is very little hide-and-seek in our film. It’s not 90 minutes of hiding. The film, especially for a film of this budget size, is full of aliens. It’s non-stop,” the filmmaker continued. No One Will Save You is scheduled to premiere on September 22nd on Disney+. Just like Barbarian did in its day, the project has a chance to surprise and become one of the most outstanding horror movies of 2023, standing in close competition to The Exorcist: Believer and The Nun 2.
