The Rural Environment Training Center (CFMR) of Don Benito, attached to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Sustainable Development, hosted on November 30 the ‘Day on Sustainable Environmental Management of Nitrogen in Agriculture and Livestock’, aimed at professionals from rural areas and students. During the day, the standards established in Europe that regulate the use of nitrogen fertilizers will be addressed because their inappropriate use, whether due to excess or not the optimal time of application, causes many increases in these water components, sometimes exceeding the limit values ​​allowed by the regulations, as warned by the European Union.
Therefore, the Junta de Extremadura, in compliance with the current regulations, promotes training on the subject aimed at the owners of agricultural and livestock farms, so that they know the maximum values ​​of use, in what method to calculate the correct dose for the main crops. in the area. , the appropriate time of application and the method of proper subscription.
This is to avoid non-compliance with the requirements of the conditions of the farms in the region, with direct assistance from the CAP.
