This Sunday, February 4, at approximately 4:00 in the morning, a traffic accident was recorded in the jurisdiction of Colonia Tovar, specifically in the sector of Las Pionías, which resulted in the death of a person at the scene and material damage.
Ricardo Mujica, who approached the National Service of Medicine and Forensic Sciences in Caña de Azúcar this Monday morning to take the necessary steps to retrieve the body of his son and thus give him a Christian burial, revealed to reporters that the young man answered the name of Anthony José Mujica Maizo, 23 years old.
“My son is dedicated to agriculture in the colony and is the father of two children, and unfortunately he had an accident on his way back from a Creole ball tournament,” the informant pointed out.
“Maybe he arrived late, and with some drinks in him, he collided with a truck that had an accident. His death was instantaneous due to multiple fractures and other injuries,” he said.
“We believe that because my son was driving his motorcycle at a high speed, he was asleep, and we suspect that he did not see the truck parked on the side of the road, and the fatal impact occurred shortly,” he added. .
Neighbors from the area went to the site to help, but when they arrived, Anthony José was already dead. The authorities of the Bolivarian National Police are aware of the event.
It should be noted that the body was transferred to the Sugar Cane Morgue for an autopsy, while prosecutors began an investigation to clarify the causes of the road accident.
On the other hand, it was learned that the relative of the owner of the accident truck was killed. It was also highlighted that car accidents are increasing in Aragua, especially those with motorbikes. Many factors are combined, including excessive speed, poor use of safety helmets, mechanical failure, as well as alcohol consumption and other factors.
Now the carnivals are approaching, and it is very important to drive on any road at a moderate speed, respect the traffic signs, and follow the recommendations of the officials who will be deployed in the different corners of the Aragonese geography.
