The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has released a series of unpublished classified images a 1980 plot to assassinate Elizabeth II by way of the United States of America. The documents were requested at the FBI website with local sources.
Between growth conflicts in Northern Ireland, where Catholics and Protestants had opposing positions in relation to the kingdom, the British Monarch decided to visit the state of California with Prince Philip. The trip took place on February 24, 1983, reported on the BBC.

About 20 days before the visit was made, an officer who frequented an Irish pub located in San Francisco in northern California. He warned members of the FBI about the possibility of an assassination attempt against the Queen then the 57-year-old at the hands of a man of Northern Irish origin.
According to what he said at the time, he was in civilian clothes when he met the potential attacker and learned his plan. He said he was seeking “revenge for his daughter, who had been killed in Northern Ireland.” “The prince wanted to hurt Queen Elizabeth. And this he was about to do, with a sharp object passing from the Golden Gate to the Bridge of the Royal Yacht Britannia under it. He would later try to kill her on his way out of Yosemite National Park,” the document reads.

But everyone from the FBI is presumptuous. was part of the Provisional Irish Republican Army or IRAa paramilitary group that, at the time of the separation of Ireland from Northern Britain, was calling for the reunification of Ireland by understanding a new state that would contain the entire island of Ireland.
Upon learning of the threat, the Secret Service he thought of “closing the pedestrian gates of the Golden Gate Bridge as the ship approaches”. What steps were taken to Yosemite is unclear, but the visit went smoothly. The FBI also continues to point out that he didn’t want to talk about it.

they are a constant threat
It was not the only trip on the North American soil where the integrity of the monarch was at stake, the British media was shown.
In 1973, the late Queen was in New York City for America’s Bicentennial celebrations. There, a federal investigation found a pilot who flew a small plane over Battle Park with a sign that read “England, get out of Ireland” and who was supposed to be “proud in spirit.”

It is mentioned internally the possibility of “threats against the British Monarchy by the Irish Republican Army (IRA)” for which “Boston and New York were requested to intend some movement and to inform Louisville – the largest city in Kentucky.”

Back in 1991, the Queen planned to attend a baseball game with former President George H. Bush in Baltimore. The FBI at the time anticipated that “Irish groups” would protest at the stadium and that many of them “paid a large number of tickets” to the game and at the same time announced a boycott.
