The general director of Regional Digitalization defends cybersecurity

The general director of Regional Digitalization, Jesús Coslado, assures that “the experience suggests that the commitment to cybersecurity for any company that has a presence on the Internet, even the smallest, should be considered a priority in making the path of a a market in continuous growth like digital”. This was stated this Thursday during the welcome event for the participants of the virtual conference organized by the ICT Demonstration Center of Extremadura (CDTIC), to study the advantages that an online activity can provide to a company through secure channels.

Possible cyber attacks were also analyzed at the conference, especially in the area of ​​SMEs and self-employed people from Extremadura. For Coslado “no company, or any public administration, should be considered safe from computer attacks because they understand that their small size does not make them attractive to cybercriminals. attacks” . The general director insisted that “any investment in protective measures against cyberattacks is a worthwhile investment and, fortunately, we have the technology sector in Extremadura with companies recognized as solvent, such as those that -join this conference, offering that kind of services”.

 The general director of FEVAL, Facundo Mera, also participated in the webinar presentation, highlighting the institution’s commitment “to the technological change project in Extremadura, because it also represents an opportunity for work.” CDTIC is a project of the General Directorate of the Digital Agenda of the Government of Extremadura supported by FEDER Funds from the European Union.
