The ghost town inhabited by the Anasazi Indians in the US

Surrounding the impressive Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado, United States to enjoy a unique enclave in Montezuma County that offers large forests, high mountains, and cliffs that stop the heart and it is precisely in one of the latter that we find the wealth of Mesa Verde. An abandoned town is explored by archaeologists, scientists, and cowboys throughout the centuries.

Mesa Verde offers a unique view of the life of the Pueblo Indians who lived there for over 700 years, between 600 and 1300 CE. Nowadays, The park protects more than 4,000 known archaeological sites, including 600 ancient cliff dwellings. These sites are among the most famous and best preserved in the United States.

Small remains of the ancient inhabitants who built these unique houses and those known as Anasazia were used by current citizens to mean “former enemies”, They disappeared without leaving any trace. Before Europeans arrived in America, this civilization settled in the present-day states of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah. They left their villages.
