Not for the exchange of trills between President Gustavo Petro and Gali Dagan, the Colombian ambassador to Israel. This time, the diplomat responded to the head of state with an opinion about the emergence of the terrorist group Hamas.
In his X account, President Gustavo Petro talked about the accusations made by some people about the alleged support of the Hamas group. He also talked about the origin of that terrorist squad.
“They say that I support Hamas, as before they said that I support the FARC. Hamas is the invention of Mossad to divide the Palestinian people and have an excuse to punish them. Terrorism, like Habermas said, is the absence of communication. Replacing dialogue between dignified people and replacing it with pure apartheid and repression only creates desperate and deadly terrorism. The end of terrorism is one: open the paths of communication between people,” wrote Gustavo Petro.
The answer from Gali Dagan, Israeli ambassador to Colombia, was immediate: “It’s true, Mr. President Gustavo Petro. As you wrote in this letter, Hamas is an invention of the Mossad.
In the next line, in a sarcastic tone, the diplomat mentioned the “discoveries” made by the Israeli intelligence services.
“The Elders of Zion founded the Gulf Clan. There are even Jews, with big, aquiline noses, who command the Gaitanista Self-Defense Forces of Colombia,” wrote Gali Dagan.
On the same social network, the diplomat claimed to have evidence that the terrorist group Hamas blocked the routes of Palestinians leaving Gaza.
“They prevent civilians from evacuating south and thus continue to use them as human shields,” he said.
He also pointed to the ultimatum of the Israeli Army to evacuate the Gaza Strip, a mobilization of more than a million people that the UN asked for: “Israel asks the civilians of Gaza to evacuate to the south to get away from the area of conflict .and protect their safety. Hamas is a danger to Israelis and Palestinians.
