I now have my iPhone XR with me again. And after going through the body and paint shop, I have to say I was very happy with the result. However, I really enjoyed the K-Tuin service one of the problems I thought my phone had. And today I’ll tell you what it’s about.
What changing the battery of my phone meant was also the fear of having to pay a much higher amount because I believed that I would have to replace several more components of my phone. But I decided to play it safe and asked for a full diagnostic of my phone before making any changes.
Before carrying out a repair we can request a complete diagnosis of the phone, for which in my case I had to pay 30 euros. But the 30 euros were very well invested.
The happiness of the microphone and the speakers
When I went to change my iPhone’s battery (which was at 80%), I also knew that the speakers and microphone were causing problems. Although it was nothing serious, the speakers sounded very weak and like something was blocking them.
All the people I spoke to on the phone said in turn that they were listening to me, either very far away or very weakly. And I remember always having the phone next to me and no hands free. And when I compared the sound of my dad’s iPhone XR, I realized this Things happened there.
When I took the phone to the K-tuin store in Palma de Mallorca, the process was very simple: I arrived, explained the problem and they explained that they could carry out a diagnostic that would identify all the errors on my iPhone.
I thought the speakers and microphone needed to be replaced. That would mean you would end up paying a lot more than replacing a battery. Blessed diagnosis, the speakers and microphone are perfect. So what happened?
As simple as the only thing that happened had a first and last name: accumulated dirt. As complicated as it was, I had already tried every means possible to clean it, but there was no way. They explained to me that over time, dirt can build up in corners where the iPhone isn’t as easy to clean.
They explained to me that to remove this dirt they would have to use special tools to avoid damaging the phone. And a joy like a house when I now have the iPhone
And although it may seem a bit naive, it was torture to pay 29 euros for a cleaning that even removed all the invisible dirt, apart from the speakers and the microphone, not having to replace these components and the phone in to be in perfect condition. very big head that I saved.
The only thing that makes me sad about all of this is that I have to say goodbye again to the iPhone 7 and the 3D Touch system, both of which were used in the last few days when my XR was in the recovery center. But at least I’ll have the iPhone XR for another 3 or 4 or even 5 more years.
