The Provincial Court of León will host from today, Monday until next Tuesday, the 24th, the trial in which JCGD, 30 years old, will be tried, accused of crimes of minor damage, abuse of family, continuous damage, residential violation and murder for, allegedly, the killing of his spouse, Paula M., 36, in April 2021 at her home in the Leonese town of Mansilla de las Mulas. It will be a popular court that will determine whether he is guilty or not.
The events took place at midnight from Sunday the 18th to Monday the 19th of April 2021, when, after a whole day together, JCGD went to Paula’s house convinced that she had another male. Arriving there, according to the Prosecutor’s qualification document, he broke the glass of the door of the portal with a kick and entered inside, after which he did the same to the door of the house where his partner was.
After entering the house, the woman began to argue and she looked for the alleged man who was with her, but she did not find him because he was alone. The young man, 28 years old at the time, also asked Paula for her mobile phone and started a struggle that led to the destruction of the terminal on the floor. In addition, in the course of the dispute, the man beat the woman.

The accused left the house at that time and got out of his car, but he went back inside and, after getting a knife from the kitchen, he went to the room where Paula was, and pushed her on the bed. When incorporated, “without further ado, with the intention of causing his death and in a surprising, sudden manner and without any possibility of defense,” JCGD inflicted three “fatal” wounds on the victim’s back. part, as a result of which the weapon broke and the blade entered his body. Therefore, around 1:30 am on April 19, 2021, the “violent death” of Paula M. occurred due to “hypovolemic shock due to multiple stab wounds.”

The Prosecutor’s Office relates in its writing the existence of previous violent episodes of the current defendant, JCGD, to the victim, Paula M., who started a romantic relationship in the summer of 2020, even to live together for a time, even if not at the time of the crime.
No complaints
So, in December 2020, JCGD went to his partner’s house, where he broke the glass of the portal door and caused various damages inside the house by hitting the doors and some furniture. However, “Paula M. did not report these events to the Building Owners Community.”
A few months later, in March 2021, JCGD “headbutted Paula inside her house,” after which she went to her car, where “the defendant looked for her and attacked her again, grabbing her by the hair .” and hit his face against the steering wheel of the car. The victim also did not file a complaint for these events, but he “sent a photo to a friend with marks caused by the attack on his face.
