“If you are over 60 years old, it is your tribute.” This year, as part of the Second Youth Program, the Department of Social Services is hosting the traditional social meal in the exhibition pavilion at the fairgrounds. It will take place next Friday, September 22nd, from 1:30 p.m. During the event, various recognitions will be given to people who have distinguished themselves “through their work, their commitment to the elderly, or their role model in life,” as reported by the region’s councilor, Prado Ziga.
The proposal for the “Los Jardines” residence pays tribute to Francisco Candelas and Rosario Labián, the oldest residents of this center, “who have proven to be models of an active and productive life,” said the city council. At the suggestion of the Residence “La Milagrosa” to Criso Arias, “for her commitment, her dedication, her kindness, and her big heart. Registration deadline extended
People over 60 years of age who have not yet registered can do so at the Casa Josito Social Center until September 15th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is required to present your ID and make the payment in cash. The price for people registered in Manzanares is 10 euros, and for unregistered people, it is 15 euros. More than 400 people have registered so far, and this meal is expected to be a success like previous years.
