The new amendment of the driver’s license for freight and passenger transport

The National Road Safety Agency (ANSG) officially announced the change in the review process for the National Interjurisdictional Transport License (LiNTI) a few days ago.

By regulation 675 and by the inclusion of article 18 paragraph i) of the annex to the previous regulation No. DI-2019-48-APN-ANSV#MTR of February 11, 2019, the change will affect the interjudicial drivers of cargo and passenger cars.

What does the new regulation say?

“Ensure the driver has a valid LiNTI at the time of using the intercourt service for both freight and passenger vehicles. In the event of non-compliance, the operator will be subject to a sanction determined by the inspection authority,” says the text published in the Official Journal.

What is the LiNTI license?

The National Interjurisdictional Transport License (LiNTI) is the only document that allows for the interjurisdictional transportation of cargo or passengers within the state’s territory.

This policy is issued in three categories:

  1. General Fees.
  2. Dangerous goods.
  3. passenger transport.

For whom is that?

  • For those who want to carry out the intergovernmental carriage of goods or passengers in the national territory.}

What are the requirements?

  • Be over 21 years old.
  • You can read and write in the local language.
  • Don’t be on sick leave.
  • Last DNI and procedure code (located on the front of the DNI)
  • Driving license corresponding to the size of the vehicle with which the cross-border transport will be carried out, issued by the competent authority at your place of residence.
  • Conduct a psychophysical examination.
    • Select the doctor closest to you on the LiNTI website.
    • The same test applies to all categories.
    • Payment: There is a uniform payment of fees and examinations, which is settled using the activated payment methods Easy Payment and Mercadopago.

Carriage license class: BCE -> LiNTI qualification category

Driving license class: D: passenger transport

In the case of passenger transport in the automotive sector

  • A criminal record certificate issued by the National Recidivist Registry is to be uploaded to the LiNTI website along with the application and security code.
  • In the event that procedural acts in criminal cases are recorded in the certificate (cf. Law 22.117 and its amendments), they must be assessed, and you will not be able to proceed with the proceedings.

They will not be able to obtain the LiNTI if they have been convicted of the offenses set out in Article 1 of ANSV Regulation No. 48/19.
