Hanoi.— Vaccines for humans and advanced drugs for the treatment of cancer produced in Cuba are now closer to the health care needs of the Vietnamese people, after the signing of two supply contracts.
Agreements on the distribution and supply of these products were signed by Duc Minh Medical Joint Stock Company (Almedic), in Vietnam, with the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) and the Center for Molecular Immunology (CIM) , both Cuban.
Under the contracts, which are part of the cooperation and commercial plan between Almedic and its partners in 2024, in addition to vaccines, CIMAher (a monoclonal antibody for the treatment of head and neck, pancreatic and esophageal cancer) and CIMVAx EGF (for lung cancer treatment).
We hope that in the future the cooperation between the two parties will expand to new fields and products to meet the health care needs of the Vietnamese, emphasized Cuban Ambassador Orlando Hernández at the signing ceremony.
