The odds of Microsoft acquiring Activision Blizzard have increased from 50% to 70%, according to CitiBank

Microsoft’s Blizzard campaign is closer than ever to completion. Until now, the main stumbling block in Redmond’s company was the market bodies and regulatory commissions… but it seems that the purchase has given approval.

Last Friday we told you that the UK CMA has kindly placed itself in Microsoft, this transaction “will not result in a substantial reduction of competition for console games in the UK”.

In other words, the British Agency (the biggest supporter of Sony today) considers that the purchase of Activision Blizzard does not violate market equity in Britain.

Is this an approved purchase? Not at all, since the CMA will publish its final resolution on April 26. However, all indications are that the purchase of Activision Blizzard will finally be done.

In fact, the value of Activision Blizzard shares is at $84.39, and according to CitiBank this may rise to a figure close to $90.

20% more options to close the purchase

According to CitiBank (via SeekingAlpha), Microsoft’s odds of closing Blizzard’s buying activity are 70%, a huge improvement on the aforementioned 50% (although these are estimated).

In the funding of the CMA presenting the last report (April 26), it seems that the British body will approve the purchase, as the EU did two weeks ago.

If the deal is approved globally, CitiBank believes Activision’s value of Blizzard shares will rise to $88 or even $91 per share.

For investors who want to have activity through 2024, we see $11 up ($95 minus $84) and $2 down ($82 minus $84). In fact, Action is closer to a low-cost call option in Microsoft’s transaction approval.’

After the approval of the CMA (last Friday), the value of the ounce rose to 6 dollars. In the event of a negative scenario, this value should be set at approximately 68 dollars.

But the denial would not be the end of Blizzard’s activity. According to CitiBank, an additional 14 dollars would be added to this 68 dollars, putting the recovery up to 82 dollars per share.

We will have to wait until April 26, but everything looks like a success for Microsoft. In the event that the purchase is completed and receives the approval of the institutions, in 2024 it is said to open a store of games and mobile applications.

According to Microsoft, today we learned that the company is offering a Game Pass for 1 care. However, a different type of promotion will be chosen for new users of the service.
