‘The Office’ Stars Name Guest Director Who ‘Almost Murdered’ Entire Cast

The cast of ‘The Office’ almost got a fatal surprise while filming an episode directed by a famous TV criminal.

Actors Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey, who co-starred in the hit NBC comedy series and released a book about the show, wrote of how a stunt driver “worked hard” and told the cast members to “fly” inside a bus. Forced, reported Mashable.

The episode, “Work Bus”, had guest director Brian Cranston, best known for playing Walter White in the series “Breaking Bad”. in the book, The Office BFF: The Tales Of The Office From The Best Friends Who Were ThereKinsey mocked the irony of Cranston’s relationship in the episode.

“We see the irony that Bryan Cranston, aka Walter White Sr. or ‘Heisenberg’, as he was known in crystal methamphetamine circles, was an assistant to murder the entire cast of ‘The Office’,” Kinsey wrote. “I assure you it’s pure coincidence.”

The episode featured Dwight Schrute (played by Rainn Wilson) creating a temporary work space for staff members to use during repairs to the Dunder Mifflin building. Jim Halpert (played by John Krasinski) suggested repairs so he could have a few days off. But Shrute decided to build a mobile office on the bus instead.

Halpern then proposes to use the bus to travel to “the best rural pie stand in Pennsylvania” and, after “pie” chants, Schrute takes the bus across the street.

You can get a refresher of the show’s “Work Bus” episode below:

A scene featuring Schrute’s poor driving prompted the show to hire a stunt driver to fill in for Wilson, Fischer explained. To make the scene more realistic, the artists stayed in the bus as it hit the open road. That’s when the show’s assistant director asked the stunt driver to turn around, Kinsey wrote.

“I mean he cranked that wheel like Cole Trickle in ‘Days of Thunder,'” he explained. “When they told this stunt driver to work as hard as he could without turning the bus over, no one thought none of our office furniture, props or set decorations were securely tied “

The filming of the episode was not without other glitches either. Fischer wrote about how show crews combined “hot tin cans” with portable air conditioners.

“We were thrilled…” she wrote.

But it turned out that the portable A/C unit was adjacent to the bus’s exhaust pipe.

“We were all slowly being poisoned. Or not so slow, really,” Fisher wrote.

Office BFFs has been described as an intimate portrait of the hit comedy series and includes never-before-seen photos from “The Office”. The actors have also given details about the show on their popular podcast “Office Ladies”.
