The mayor, Lorena Orduna, and the president of the La Hoya de Huesca-Plana de Uesca region, Mónica Soler, held a work meeting this morning at City Hall to advance the line of collaboration between the two institutions. The councilor of Huesca and the councilor of the region Susana Oliván also attended the session.
The meeting served to raise three cooperation projects which will be developed in the coming months. They are, in particular, the following:
- Project Contact: Both institutions will participate in this initiative, which aims to improve job search, facilitating contact between companies and job seekers.
- Consumer Office: The municipal office already provides services in the region. However, and since this resource is not sufficiently known to the population of the region of La Hoya, its dissemination will be promoted so that the inhabitants of the towns that make it up can access it.
- Clean point: The Consistory and the supra-municipal administration will sign an agreement that allows the municipalities of the region to use the waste collection point of the Huesca City Council. The agreement will regulate this use. This solution will prevent La Hoya from having to invest in building its own clean point.
It should be noted that both entities go on a lot annual agreements whose situation was assessed by the mayor and the president of the region.
The region transfers funds to the City Council for youth programs, conference and fair tourism, culture and heritage, basic social services, social services such as shelter, home assistance and emergency assistance, promotion of school sports and consumption.
And in turn, the City Council contributes funds to the region of adult education (by hiring three teachers) as well as for the provision of this service; in addition to transfers for organizing school sports and for the telecare program.
