According to Realizing Goals, the impartiality and credibility of the electoral authorities has been tarnished by the illegal and shameful elimination of the candidacy of Ricardo Martinelli, for the Mayor of Panama, a week before the 2019 elections, once again questioning the apparent purpose. to prevent the nomination of Linares de Martinelli, as our candidate for vice president of the Republic,” the statement stated.
In the afternoon of this Tuesday, October 10, Linares de Martinelli sent a letter to the General Directorate of Electoral Organization in which he announced his decision to resign from the candidacy.
