For the study, Profeco evaluated aspects such as the audio and picture quality of the televisions and the correctness of the consumer information.
The Attorney General’s Office used the following classifications for the televisions: “Excellent”, “Very good”, “Good” and “Sufficient”.
Among the TV models analyzed were also some from Samsung and Sony, two well-known electronics brands.
However, the three analyzed Sony televisions received the ratings “Very Good” and “Good” from Profeco. In the case of Samsung, the screens were rated “Very Good”.
While these aren’t screens with major flaws, and both Samsung and Sony received good reviews, Profeco gave the Speler brand screen an “Excellent” rating. in its 50-inch presentation, which turned out to be even cheaper.
