The World Cup continues in Indonesia, the Philippines and Japan. This Tuesday was the turn of the action in the second dates of zones A, D, E and H. On Wednesday there will be action in the other groups and the stages for the second round will be completed.
In Group A, the Dominican Republic completed their remarkable task in Manila by beating Angola 75-67, while the locals in the Philippines also lost to Italy 90-83. Dominican Republic and Italy have qualified and will cross with Zone B.
In Zone D, Egypt defeated Mexico 100-72 and Lithuania 91-71 against Montenegro. Lithuania and Montenegro passed and will play in the second round with the teams from Zone C.
Meanwhile, in Zone E at Japan HQ in Okinawa, Germany defeated Finland 101-75, where Australia also defeated the local team 109-89. Germany and Australia advanced to the second round, where they meet those in segment F.
Group H was active in Jakarta, with France beating Lebanon 85-79 and Canada overwhelmingly beating Latvia 101-75. Canada and Latvia passed and will play against the teams that qualify in Zone G in the new phase.
