A few weeks ago, we learned of the first official pictures of the Skoda Superb, although the Czech company only published camouflaged photos of the family bodywork that gives rise to the Combi versions, a silhouette that we were able to see back in June through spy photos.
Skoda is now unveiling the first official images of the three-volume body of the fourth generation of its flagship (with the approval of the electric Enyaq iV), although the vehicle appears camouflaged again, waiting for the new Skoda Superb to be finally presented in a few weeks, now without camouflage.

This is the Skoda Superb sedan
The new generation of Skoda Superb with a sedan body grows in length and height while improving the aerodynamic penetration coefficient. As we saw on the family car, there’s a new design for the grille, new door handles, and the bonnet gets a concave center rib instead of a convex one, but there are countless other subtle differences The basic lines of the model are continuous.
So, The new Skoda Superb with a sedan body is 4.91 meters long, while its width, 1.83 meters, does not increase. Its height, in turn, increases to 1.48 meters, giving it a little more than a centimeter for the head in the front seats and a little more than half a centimeter in the rear seats.
The wheelbase of 2.84 meters does not change, but the trunk volume increases by 20 liters to 645 liters. The coefficient of resistance to aerodynamic penetration has also improved and is now just 0.24, thanks in part to optimized air intakes and the redesign of the exterior mirrors.

The engines of the new Skoda Superb
The new Skoda Superb sedan will feature a 1.5 TSI engine with slight hybridization, a 2.0 TSI with two power levels, and a 2.0 TDI, which will also be offered with two power levels. We miss, yes, the 1.5 TSI plug-in hybrid that will be available with the family or estate body.
In any case, The 1.5 TSI Light Hybrid is an absolute first for the Czech brand, offering 150 CV and a 48-volt electric motor powered by a lithium-ion battery that replaces both the alternator and the starter and also serves to deliver additional torque to the wheels to help drive the heat engine.
The two 2.0-liter petrol engines produce 204 hp and 265 hp, respectively, while the 2.0-liter diesel engines produce 150 hp and 193 hp, respectively. All engines are paired with a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission, and both the most powerful diesel and gasoline units have all-wheel drive.

This is the interior of the Skoda Superb sedan
As for the interior, which we haven’t seen any official pictures of yet, yes, there is an infotainment screen that can reach 13 inches. There’s one too, a head-Up Display, and the Czech manufacturer promises to introduce an innovation: smart dials.
These are three rotary controls under the central screen, each with a small 1.3-inch screen (32 millimeters). These controls promise fast access to many vehicle functions and thus solve the most common “problems” with touch interfaces.
On the other hand, the Skoda Superb will have a redesigned center console, which the Czech manufacturer will make “more orderly, spacious, and organized”, This was made possible by eliminating the gear selector, which is now located on the steering column.
The names of the paint finishes are also new and will no longer be replaced by Active, Ambition, Style Essence, Selection, Sportline, and Laurin & Klement. Each version promises a unique interior design, and in all cases, upholstery made from recycled synthetic material (polyester) has been used, in a clear Koda aim to make its vehicles more sustainable.
