Colombian chef Manuela Aristizbal, a success in the world of desserts in the United States, talks with W Fin de Semana about the reality show on The Roku channel and how her passion for food was born.
“For my grandfather, the kitchen was like a laboratory, he made great lines with certain ingredients. I always watched cooking shows with my grandmother, so I was always immersed in the subject,” she explained.
In this way, with the aim of being one of the best Colombian pastry chefs, she had the opportunity to participate in the reality show in which she stood out with merengon in the best Colombian style.
“The opportunity to participate in ‘Que Delicious’ came along and I was representing Colombia, it was a great opportunity. I faced off against a Puerto Rican and it was the best experience of my life,” she said.
This was where, according to her, she made her best dessert: “I think the best dessert I made during the competition was my version of meringue, but it was layers of meringue decorated with whipped cream. , with Mango Sauce, Panella, Tangerine, an explosion of flavours”.
“It was Colombia on the plate,” he said.
