The students of the ‘DITEC Project’ in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Caixabank-Dualiza and ADECA get to know the companies where they will do their internship.

In the DITEC 2023 project, 12 companies from Albacete participate that will welcome students from educational centers that have received additional training on marketing and digitalization.

The Campolano Business Association, in collaboration with the Castilla-La Mancha Community Board of Education, the Albacete City Council and the Caixbanc-Dualija, have launched a new edition of the DITEC 2023 project. It is a dual training program aimed at strengthening the digital and marketing skills of the 14 participating students, graduates in Administration and Finance Professional Training. In the second phase that has just started, they will do internships in different companies in Albacete where they will live in a real business environment.

ADECA’s president, Santos Prieto, thanked the companies for their participation, “opening their business doors and training the talents of Albacete”. Prieto confirms that the project “has generated great interest among employers in the province of Compolano and Albacete” thanks to the degree of satisfaction of the companies and the high percentage of job placements achieved in previous editions. The act was also attended by the Councilor for Training, Employment and the 2030 Agenda of Albacete City Council, Amparo Torres; Emilio Pedrosa Pérez, Director of Institutional Banking at CaixaBank Albacete y Cuenta; Also Florinda García on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports.

Specialized Training in Digital Skills

The project is closely linked to the field of digitization, an important tool for both students and companies to adapt to the new reality of the business world. The DITEC 2023 project offered 115 hours of training wherein students were trained in Graphic Design, Web & E-Commerce, Digital Marketing & Social Media and Business Management Software.

The initiative makes it easier for entrepreneurs to adapt their businesses to new digital demands, “including profiles that know how to adapt to current business needs”, as explained by the president of the Campolano Business Association. It is to be noted that, in the previous edition, more than 50% of the participating students were placed by companies.

In total, 14 students from IES Leonardo da Vinci in Albacete, IES Izpisua Belmonte in Helin, IES Pedro Mercedes de Cuenta and IES Julian Zarco in Mota del Cuervo have participated. The exercise will take place during the month of May and will go on till November in respect of the vacation period.

Santos Prieto wished the students luck and promised “to continue collaborating with this successful initiative to continue promoting improvements in the business fabric of both Campolano and Albacete Province and Region.”
