Moral de Calatrava’s live nativity scene would tour the streets of the area known as “Toledillo” in the town. An area that receives this name because its outline evokes the streets of downtown Toledo. This area of the town center is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its declaration as a historic site.
In this way we will enter Bethlehem where we can live 33 scenes, such as The Holy Innocents, Christmas, Jose’s dream, the forge, the bakery, the oil mill or the market, etc. They will be interpreted by around 200 extras. A large group of Morale volunteers have been working on them for months, together with the Parish of San Andrés, the organizers of the event, designing details to make this representation as realistic as possible.

As in every year, the living nativity scene has a charitable character through the donations that the attendees make on their way out. On this occasion, the proceeds will go to the “Gotta de Leche” initiative for Syrian children. Their goal is to deliver milk to over 3,000 children between the ages of 0 and 10 in Syria. A project that requires a total investment of €253,000 to meet the needs of children born in Aleppo during the war.

This year, El Belen is celebrating a new edition that for the first time has held a national competition for the preparation of its posters. The winner of the poster will be in charge of opening the poster’s doors. The appointment will be next Sunday, December 18 at 5:30 p.m. The entrance will be from Calle Constitution along Calle Ouro.
