The teacher in Chiapas was killed by her husband after she asked him for a divorce
After killing Claribel, Jorge Luis “N” tried to flee to Tabasco, but he was arrested and faced charges of femicide.
An elementary school teacher was shot dead by his spouse inside his house in the municipality of Salto de Agua, in the northern part of Chiapas, after he asked her for a divorce; The feminicide was arrested by agents of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE).
On Wednesday night, 31-year-old Claribel GZ, a teacher at Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla Elementary School in downtown Salto de Agua, started an argument with her husband Jorge Luis G., whom she asked to sign the divorce.
In the struggle, Jorge pulled out a weapon and shot his partner, who fell to the floor inside their home located in the center of that town in the northern part of the state.
In the house, two minors, children of the couple, were kept in a room, they were left without a mother and together with a father imprisoned.
The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) reports that through the Investigative Police (PDI) attached to the Selva District Prosecutor’s Office, it was able to arrest a person allegedly involved in the crime of femicide when he tried to travel to the neighborhood state of Tabasco.
Elements of the Investigative Police assigned to the Selva District Prosecutor’s Office and the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection made the arrest of the accused possibly responsible for the crime of femicide of a person who answered the name Claribel “N” in life.
The accused was placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office to continue the investigation to support his accusation before the Jurisdictional Body.
