The time to marvel at Candy Cane Lane in El Segundo is almost over

If you want to take in the visual sweetness of Candy Cane Lane, time is running out.

For the 72nd year, the El Segundo neighborhood in the 1200 block of East Acacia Avenue has transformed itself into a Christmas spectacle that promises sensory overload similar to that of a Chinese crowd.

Candy Cane Lane has it all: Sparkling Snowmen. Glowing trees. Luminescent nativity scene. The thought of home electricity bill wrapped in so many Christmas lights makes you shudder.

But the annual Yuletide tradition is coming to an end.

The cul-de-sac – which typically attracts 5,000 people on its busiest nights, in all awe – will turn off the lights for the last time this holiday season on Christmas Eve.
