Resignation of Legal Services in Courts The general secretary of Congress and senior counsel of both legislative chambers, Carlos Gutierrezspoke, spoke to the president of the House, Francina Armengol, about his intention to leave the position he held for almost ten years, with two presidents of the PP and two of the PSOE.
With his reports, he endorsed decisions such as the inadmissibility of the amnesty law for Catalan independence, the withdrawal of the post of Alberto Rodríguez (We can), or the validity of the wrong vote on Alberto Casero in labor reform.
Gutiérrez Vicen, who rose to this position in 2014 with the popular Jesus Posada and with the absolute majority of the PP, remained in the short legislature with the socialist Patxi Lopez in 2016, later repeated with That’s Pastor, and was approved twice by Meritxell Beater in 2019 and 2020.
As confirmed by parliamentary sources, Gutiérrez Vicen already communicated with Beat that he intended to leave office at the end of the last legislature, and he later announced it to Armengol, who asked him two months before the start of the legislature. As things stand, it is estimated that the replacement will happen soon, before the end of the year.
