India has responded to a statement made by UN President Volkan Bozkır on Jammu and Kashmir. On the issue of Jammu and Kashmir, UN General Assembly head Volkan Bojkir said, “It is Pakistan’s duty to bring the issue of Jammu and Kashmir to the UN more strongly.”
In fact, Bojkir was seen with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi at a press conference in Islamabad on Thursday. Commenting on the conference, he said it was “Pakistan’s duty” to bring the issue of Jammu and Kashmir to the United Nations more strongly. The Government of India has also responded to this.
In his reply to the Ministry of External Affairs of India, the references made by him have been deemed inappropriate. Reacting strongly, the External Affairs Ministry said that his remarks had been “rejected” and that his reference to the Union Territories of India was “inappropriate”.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said in response to a media question on the issue, “When the current chairman of the UN General Assembly makes misleading and biased remarks, it does great damage to his position. The conduct of the President of the United Nations General Assembly is truly regrettable and certainly hurts his position on the global stage. ”
Bojkir was on a recent visit to Pakistan. Bojkir, meanwhile, made inappropriate remarks about Jammu and Kashmir. Strongly opposing this, Bagchi said that his remarks “Pakistan has a duty to raise this issue more strongly in the United Nations.” Is unacceptable. And in fact there is no basis for comparison with other global conditions. Bojkir arrived in Pakistan on Wednesday on a three-day official visit at the invitation of Qureshi.
