However, holding a mobile phone device in your hand while driving also entails a fine, namely 200 euros and 6 license points, as the new regulations consider it which is a “serious” offense.
But it doesn’t stop there, you can’t use your cell phone or other devices even if you don’t have it in your hand, because it will be punished with a fine of 200 euros and the withdrawal of 3 points from your driving license. In short, when you drive there should be no distractions nearby.

In the last campaign conducted by the DGT (from October 9 to 15) the most violation was the one mentioned: holding the cellphone with the hand, with a total of 2,223 complaints out of 6,719 made during the entire campaign.
