“Avoid traveling to France”, was the recommendation of the State Department to the Americans last week, at a time when the end of the year festivities threatened by the new Omicron variant are approaching.
“In fact in the current situation (related to COVID-19) in France, even fully vaccinated travelers are at risk of becoming infected and spreading the variants”, added the CDC, the main health entity in the United States.
On the other hand, new measures for international travelers were also announced last week: All Americans, whether or not they have been vaccinated against COVID-19, must present a negative test carried out 24 hours before in order to enter the country. Foreign travelers, from any other country, in addition to the negative test must be vaccinated to enter the United States.
