The said announcement by the US State Department refers to the permanence of its personnel in the said diplomatic headquarters, warning that it allows the departure of all non-essential or emergency personnel.
This measure refers to the fact that its workers and their families are allowed to leave the territory of Israel; an announcement that aroused great interest, amidst the growing tension experienced in that territory due to the intensification of the war.
The measure announced this Saturday by the United States Department of State also covers “eligible family members” of diplomatic and consular officials of the United States in Israel, representing a step by the country to protect the its citizens.
The decision not only covers the officials of the main embassy in the city of Jerusalem, but is also expected by the workers and their families of the embassy branch in the city of Tel Aviv.
This announcement comes just two days after Israel was visited by the Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, who came to the country to finalize the details of the Biden government’s support for Israel’s offensive against the Hamas group.
On Thursday, information was circulated through social networks that referred to the apparent announcement by the United States of the order to evacuate its embassy in the city of Beirut, Lebanon, one of Israel’s neighboring Arab countries; However, the same diplomatic headquarters, through its social networks, denied such information, warning that its operations are progressing normally.
