The United States Department of Defense has confirmed this Friday the shipment of other $2.1 billion (1.95 billion euros) in military aid to Ukraine, from ammunition for Patriot air defense systems to unmanned aerial systems.
In particular, the Pentagon reported on the delivery of additional ammunition for Patriot air defense systems, air defense systems and hawk missiles105-millimetre and 203-millimetre artillery rounds, ammunition for the Puma Unmanned Aerial System, laser-guided rocket systems, and support for training, maintenance and sustainment activities.
“This package reflects Ukraine’s continued commitment to both critical near-term capabilities and the capability of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Defend your territory and deter Russian aggression in the long term.” The Pentagon has indicated in its note this Friday.
“The United States will continue to work with our allies and partners to provide Ukraine with the ability to meet its immediate needs on the battlefield over the long term,” he added.
Overall, the United States has committed more than $40.4 billion (37.5 billion euros) in security assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the Biden administration, including more than $39.7 billion (36.9 billion euros) since the start of the “brutal and unprovoked aggression against Russia on February 24, 2022”.

For his part, the Ukrainian PresidentVolodymyr Zelenskythanked the head of the White House on his Twitter account for this new and “strong” support of the American people for Kiev.
“Amid the unprecedented terror and ecology in Russia caused by the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric station, this is more important than ever. Step by step we are getting closer to the liberation of our land!”, he observed.
