The Member of the Political Bureau and Vice President of the Republic of Cuba, Salvador Valdés Mesa, arrived at the Tahón Productions Agency, which belongs to the AZUMAT Villa Clara Logistics Company.

Fernando Miguel Rodríguez, director of the agency, explained that the module is dedicated to the breeding of special breeds of pigs and black coats; of sheep and different kinds of birds; all for the Company’s workers and the community where the site is located.
With 59 workers, they also have the possibility of up to 90 hectares intended for sugarcane, various crops and livestock production.
The Vice President was interested in their planned strategy for feeding the animals.
On the farm La Veguita from the producer Noel Rolando Benitez, in the famous council of Tahón, Valdés Mesa toured the new warehouse built for the selection of tobacco, as well as the semi-protected seedbed enclosures, where he was interested in the strategies for the production of this campaign.
This tobacco producer, known as the largest producer of tapado in the country, plans to plant 24 hectares of tapado tobacco and 6 for sol en palo in this campaign. The farmer explained the potential of this diversified farm that includes various crops and livestock modules.
On the farm of the former catcher of the Villa Clara baseball team, Yulexis la Rosa, he proved the breeding of pure stallions, and worked to increase the production of pigs and rustic and semi-rustic birds.
In biopesticides and Biofertilizers that plant in Labiofam was able to confirm that the investment process is 93% complete and that the start of this factory is expected for the first quarter of next year. This industry is part of an investment project that seeks to produce these basic components for more efficient agriculture.
