The Galician Agency for Food Quality, which depends on the Department of Rural Affairs, will hold several technical conferences to promote the new number of different quality Food Crafts. The Agency will announce this distinction and the importance of the artisan food product as quality food at the Food Crafts Conference 2023, which will take place in several Galician city halls.
This cycle of sessions will begin next Tuesday, October 24, at the Liceo Archivo de Betanzos, which will continue in Lugo on the 26th, at the Plaza de Abastos. In the month of November, this promotion initiative will move to Allariz on the 7th, to the Assembly Hall of the City Council itself, to the Pontevedra fairgrounds on the 13th and will end at the Pedagogical Museum of Galicia, in Santiago de Compostela, on the 29th.
The Galician Food Quality Agency aims, with this initiative, to disclose the regulatory requirements, the registration procedures and the advantages of belonging to Food Crafts, in addition to presenting other figures of different quality or certifications of public.
Among the participants are artisan companies, gourmet stores and gastronomic bloggers, who will bring their knowledge and experiences in the production and marketing of artisan food products to those who attend these promotional sessions.
Finally, this initiative aims to be a day for mutual knowledge and exchange of ideas and projects between craft companies and gourmet shops. For this reason, Food Craft operators and stores can participate in a meeting place designed for this purpose.
Food quality law
These types of proposals promote the quality of Galician products, something that the Xunta is strongly committed to. An example of this is the new Food Quality Law, which is being processed by the Parliament, and which seeks to provide Galician food products with a new dimension in the market, more competitive and attractive.
