Lonely Planet, one of the largest publishers of travel guides in the world, has published a list of the 50 best travel destinations for the year 2024.
The entity, located in Australia, defines its ranking in five categories, including country, region, city, sustainable destination, and price or value relationship.
Of the best thing in the country, Lonely Planet NESTLED Mongolia is in the number one position for its “open spaces, adventure activities and the unique culinary and musical culture.”
“Squeezed between Russia and China, Mongolia seems difficult to reach, due to recent geopolitical developments in its two major neighbors. But Mongolia’s doors are open and the tourism campaign has eased visa restrictions until 2025. the entity detailed on its website.
The list is followed by India, Saint Lucia, Mexico, Morocco, Chile, Benin, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and Croatia.
Regarding the two Latin American countries that make up the top 10, Mexicoin North America, and Chilein South America, the corporation points out that the first “attracts travelers seeking adventure, culture, history, food and art” while “the salt flats, the tropical forests, the volcanoes, the glaciers and the fjords” are the main attractions of the second.
Likewise, they emphasized the changes that Chile has in political matters and the plans for a “new constitution with equal thinking.
“Farmers are looking for more natural ways to make wine. “Rapa Nui (Easter Island) envisions a sustainable future, while reconstruction efforts in Patagonia restore biodiversity,” added Lonely Planet.
