The Pasadena, Texas, police reported that they arrested Juan Carlos Garca Rodrguez for his alleged involvement in the murder and sexual abuse of a minor of Guatemalan origin identified as Maria Gonzalez.
Garca Rodrguez was arrested in Shreveport, Louisiana, after Harris County prosecutors accepted the count of first-degree murder against him.
“Our investigators have received corroborating information and evidence incriminating Garcia Rodriguez,” the Pasadena Police Department said in a statement.
The suspect was admitted to Caddo Parish (Caddo Correctional Center) this Saturday, where he will await extradition to Texas.

Pasadena police received an emergency call Saturday, Aug. 12, from a man who said his 11-year-old daughter was not breathing, so officers responded immediately.
Carmelo González, the minor’s father, went to work early that morning. The last conversation they had was when she alerted him that someone was at the front door.
The minor’s body was found in a plastic garbage bag in a dirty laundry bin.
