Early Tuesday morning, the security team of the music group Fuerza Regida was attacked while they were driving a white suburb on the Puebla-Córdoba highway near Las Cumbres de Maltrata, and unfortunately, one of the members of this team later arrived at the Ro Regional Hospital Blanco, where he had been taken for medical treatment.
It was known that the music group Fuerza Regida would be performing in Cancun, Quintana Roo, so their equipment and instruments were escorted by security personnel at dawn today. Unfortunately, as they drove through the Cumbres de Maltrata section of road and entered the state of Veracruz from the state of Mexico, they were intercepted by heavily armed men who attempted to rob them while traveling and were shot.
One of the members of said security team, named Jorge Morales, was seriously injured as a result of the gunshot wounds he received, which is why he was taken to the Rio Blanco Regional Hospital for medical treatment, where he later unfortunately lost his life.
At the scene of the attack, the trailer transporting the group’s musical instruments was left behind, while the suburb reached the Rio Blanco Regional Hospital to transfer the injured person, which is why elements of various police forces, including the National Guard, transferred them They set out to search for the attackers and unfortunately managed to escape.
It is known that some of the members of the security team were retired soldiers and were therefore looking for a way to defend themselves against criminals.
State Police, National Guard Roads Division and Attorney General staff, criminalistics experts, and accreditable ministerial police took note of the facts and prepared the appropriate report, subsequently ordering the truck to be taken to the airport corral for the appropriate investigations.
The body of the deceased has been sent to the Semefo de Orizaba so that his family can officially recognize him and carry out the judicial autopsy while they carry out the appropriate investigations to find the person or persons responsible for the murder and the attempted assault suffered, led by the music group Fuerza.
