Lazo wrote, “Brothers and sisters: this Sunday there will be caravans, events and activities in different parts of the world, demanding the removal of the embargo that is suffocating the Cuban family.”
“We invite all men and women of good intention anywhere in the world to raise their voices and if there is no event in your city, be the event, be the voice. Take a picture and post it on Twitter, Facebook and social networks”, he requested.
He said those who form the Miami Caravan will meet at 11:30 a.m. (local time) on the north side of 6th Street SW, near the Jose Marti property.
The Bridges of Love movement coordinates demonstrations every last Sunday of every month advocating the end of the economic, financial and commercial blockade that the United States Administration has imposed against the Greater Antilles for more than 60 years .
They also demand the removal of Cuba from the list of countries allegedly sponsoring terrorism and the removal of other draconian measures that block travel to the island and hinder its economic transactions.
Celebrations of these acts continue to take place in downtown Miami, despite the many acts of harassment and threats faced by activists from anti-Cuban groups who try to stop the policy of reconciliation.
