The bank initially allowed a minimum of $20, but gradually increased it.
The Bank of Venezuela updated the minimum currency withdrawal through the box office, which is now set at $200. This situation caused users to express their dissatisfaction on the social network.
Via the screenshot, internet users reflected when the banking platform showed them cash withdrawals of their currencies.
“We inform you that you can plan a currency withdrawal from $200.00,” the message read.
The banking unit initially allowed its customers to withdraw $20 from its lockers. Later, in the month of August, the base increased to $100 and for about three weeks, the system had problems while programming cash withdrawals.
“Everything suggests that they were adjusting the system for minimum withdrawals starting from $200. Thanks for informing M/s. Banco de Venezuela”, said one of the users on the social network.
Despite various complaints made on the web, no official comment has been issued in this regard.
There has been a gradual increase in the minimum withdrawal rates, on occasion the bank’s customers were unaware of the adjustment.
