The Civil Guard found the lifeless body of the young Ivo Petrov, 16 years old, who disappeared 21 days ago in the waters of the Mar Menor, under strange circumstances.
As confirmed by LA RAZÓN, Benemérita found the body submerged at a depth of about 5 meters and at a distance of between 1,000 and 1,500 meters from the port of Los Alcázares.
It should be remembered that the family of the minor considers that what happened to the young man that night was not an accident. “Maybe something else happened,” said lawyer Sergio Marco, who acted as the family’s spokesperson.
The disappearance of the minor occurred on January 5, when the Emergency Service 112 of the Region of Murcia received, at 2:34 in the morning, a call from a resident of Los Alcázares who was in the port area and said that I heard cries for help from the Mar Menor. A Local Police patrol went to the area and confirmed what the caller said.
For this reason, they mobilized a rescue boat from the municipal Civil Protection service and another from the Los Alcázares Nautical Club whose crew, at 3:25 in the morning, found two people evacuated to port and made available to health services.
The two victims of the accident – men aged 16 and 22 – were affected by severe hypothermia and were treated by paramedics. They were then transferred to the Los Arcos del Mar Menor hospital by ambulance from the Emergency and Civil Protection Service of the City Council.
The mayor of Los Alcázares, Mario Pérez Cervera, explained that the victims were three young people, two of them minors, who went out at night – almost at dawn – in a kayak, and showed that there was no one of them is the knowledge of swimming and one. of them stood up in the boat, “with the misfortune that threw three on board into the water.”
