Legal professionals and workers in the legal sector were awarded this Saturday at the Protocol Hall in Plaza de la Patria, in Bayamo, the Jesús Menéndez Medal.
The distinction, at the suggestion of the Cuban Workers Union (CTC) and of the President of the Republic of Cuba, is given to those who maintain a unique character, relevant work merits, and a successful career in the activity of the Union of Cuba.
In the statements of The Demajagua, the Master of Criminal Sciences Oscar Reynaldo Díaz, one of the honorees, emphasized that his more than 40 years of legal life taught him that the practice of law requires constant training, dedication, oratory, and, above all, logic in reasoning.
Meanwhile, Yaíma Ramírez Pérez, secretary of the provincial Bureau of the National Union of Public Administration Workers (SNTAP) in the province, highlighted the central words that the recipients embody a reflection of the commitment to justice and love for the use of Rights.
Also present were Tania María Heredia de la Guardia, member of the Provincial Office of the Granma Party; Mariluz Martínez Hernández, member of the CTC secretariat in the territory, and the highest legislative representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office, Court and Collective Law Firm in the province.
The solemn event aims to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the CTC, on the 28th, and the creation of the National Organization of Collective Law Firms, on January 23, which will reach its 59th anniversary.
